    • 1000: JKPVA Annual Business Meeting in Hospitality Suite for all crew members
      • Election of new officers to occur during meeting
    • 1800 – 1915: Cocktail Hour in the Executive Ballroom with Cash Bar
    • 1915-1930: President’s remarks: Welcome, Acknowledge 1st-time reunion attendees, Acknowledge senior crew members, Tolling of the bell
    • 1930 – 2015: Dinner is served
    • 2015: Introduction of Guest Speaker
    • 2015-2030: Guest speaker
    • 2030: President announces Change in Command (presidential duties to be transferred to current VP on 01JAN2019)

Guest Speaker: CAPT Seth Burton, USN

Seth Burton is a native of Huntsville, Alabama.  He graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1994 from the University of Alabama in Huntsville with a degree in Chemical Engineering.  Burton studied International Relations as an Olmsted Scholar at the Albert Ludwig’s University of Freiburg in Freiburg, Germany.  He holds a master’s degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the United States Naval War College.

At sea, Burton served aboard USS JEFFERSON CITY (SSN 759), USS KENTUCKY (SSBN 737) and USS NEWPORT NEWS (SSN 750).  He commanded USS SCRANTON (SSN 756) in Norfolk, Virginia.

Ashore, Burton served as the National Program Manager for Submarine and Nuclear Field Recruiting, Executive Officer of the Tactical Readiness Evaluation Team on the staff of Commander, Submarine Forces Atlantic Fleet, and Deployable Training Team Chief on the staff of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.  His most recent assignment was Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations for Commander, Submarine Group 10. He is the Prospective Commanding Officer of the USS FLORIDA (SSGN 728).

Burton served on teams awarded the Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Meritorious Unit Commendation, and the Navy “E” Ribbon.  He was a Vice Admiral Stockdale Award Finalist for his time in command of USS SCRANTON and recognized as the President’s Honor Graduate for the College of Naval Warfare as a Mahan Scholar at the Naval War College.
